This hunt turned out to be a tough one for all. Six teams started, but only three teams signed into all T's. The three teams who finished had very close mileage's, their Crenshaw factors decided the winner .
We used our usual three T's with one exception, our main T1 which had the DVR voice taunting "you'll never find me!", is usually in my truck, so we moved it into an ammo can, hoping it would throw off any hunters looking for my truck. The T was hidden on the northwest corner of a new housing project just above El Toro Road, it was running 5 watts into a horizontal 4 element Yagi pointed towards the start point.
The other two T's were tone T's. Both T's were running 2 watts into wire antennas. T3 was hidden on the side of a hill just off a walking path above Trabuco Canyon road and radiated into Live Oak Canyon. The entrance to this T was near the intersection of El Camino Montana and Via Silla, this entrance was the shortest distance to the T and had no entrance time restrictions.
T2 was hidden on a hill near the intersection of Empressa and Santa Margarita, it was close to a microwave tower, down on the side of the hill facing the Trabuco river. Entrance to the road up to the Tower was on Camino Altazano.
It seems all had a good, if not frustrating time trying to pick out the three T's through all of the doubling. Special mention goes to N6AIN/ N6EKS who found all three T's in record time (their normal mode), also to WB6ADC/N6UZS and KF6RNL/Leigh who hung in there until all T's had been found.
Paul and I would like to thank everyone for coming out.
