Mike and I had a great time! Here is what we hid and
what was found.
T1 (Skidmark T) Turnout above Temecula on Rancho
California Rd
This T was running 2W thru a Twigtenna©
T1 was found by: K6KTP and KE6VCR
T2 Was located on Eagle Nest Dr. overlooking the
Temecula Valley. This T came on momentarily at 11:00,
then mysteriously went off the air. Mike and I were
driving up Rancho California Rd and noticed it was not
on the air, so we went to take a look. Opening the
box seemed to have cured the problem.
This T was running 2W thru a Twigtenna©
This T was found by: KF6GQ/KD6LAJ, N6XFC/N6AIN,
WB6JPI, KE6VCR
T3 Was never planted (ran out of time)
T4 was located in a creekbed off of Buck Rd.
Squawkbox thru a 1/2 wave dipole. No one found this T
T5 was located in an oak tree in the middle of De
portola Rd. This T was a Squawkbox thru a 1/2 wave
dipole. This T was found by: N6AIN/N6XFC. Steve was
kind enough to reprogram this T for me.
T6 was located in a large grouping of rocks off of
East Benton Rd. This was a Squawkbox thru a 1/2 wave
dipole. This T was found by KF6GQ/KD6LAJ.
T7 was located in a tree next to a water tower fence.
This was a Squawkbox thru a 3 element yagi. This T
was found by KF6GQ/KD6LAJ, WA6RJN.
T8 was located on unmarked private property off of
Sageblossom Ln. The owner of the property saw us pass
by, and informed us that it was private property, but
as long as we did not light the place on fire, we were
welcome to hide as many T's as we wanted to. This T
was found by: KF6GQ/KD6LAJ, N6AIN/N6XFC. We had the
privilege of seeing a nice sized rattle snake on the
way back to pick up our T's.
I think we found 10 T's
