Okay, Okay, This is our hard luck story. When we started, the signal from the start point seem to be coming from Santa Barbra not up the 5 like Jippy said! (what does Jippy know anyway). So we went the coastal route. At some point in Malibu, we could hear two T's, so we felt that the T's must be up in the Santa Monica Mts. somewhere. Going up and over the mountains we hear the T's with great vigor, also we found some other hunters, Bob & Cathy. They had gone the same way that we had (so more than one team can make the same mistake).
We then had a straight shot to Reyes Peak, so we mapped out our route to get there. When we got to the turn off to Reyes Peak, the signal didn't point there so we plotted both T1 & T2 T1 was 337 degrees (which might have pointed at Cuyma, but we didn't have the map out that showed that area). So we went by our trusted old plan, that is if it doesn't show a place on the map, don't go chasing it off the side of the earth. Actually we figured that he had to be out in Wasco, and didn't want to drive that far. So we went east towards Mt. Pinos through Lockwood Valley. After finding Jippy at T6 and showing him where T2 was, we were so tired and hungry that we
went back towards Gorman to eat, and happened to hear T5(6)? So we spent the next two hours looking up some dirt road that turned into a goat path, but the signal was still in front of us so we went looking in the Frazer Park area (not there either). Now! we were really hungry and tired so we turned off the radio and went to Gorman to eat & go home. So for those of you that wondered how we only found two middle transmitters that's how it happened.
