All Day T-Hunt

Only 3 hunters showed up at the start point. Not exactly a quorum. Where is everybody? Maybe the weather scared them off.

10:00 am and there was no signal. What’s wrong? Oh, I had the attenuator on. Now there’s a S5 signal. 71°, looks like Big Bear. Don’t want to go there. There is no difference in the strength horizontal or vertical. It must be a bounce. Off to Green River to get the next bearing.

At Green River I run into one of the hiders. Mike K6SNE has been home and is heading out east. I must be going the right direction. We chat for a while and then he moves on. The bearing is still up towards Big Bear. I guess I will go up 38.

At Bryant St. I hear something coming from the south. T20 is says. I turn south on Bryant Street.  At Oak Glen Road the signal is coming from the east so I turn east. Good signal and getting stronger, but its still looks like a bounce. Must be coming off San Gorgonio, but its so strong I continue on.

After Oak Glen Road turns south I started hearing another T. It came up fast and now it was behind me. I turned around and found it in some brush on the east side of the road.

Even though I still hear T20 to the north I decide to go west on Wildwood Canyon Road. At 2nd Street it’s quite strong and there is also a T10 near by. I see Mike’s Jeep in the front yard of a house and there’s David’s truck too. Both Ts are here.

After consuming some vittles and chatting a while with the hiders I take off in search of the T heard at the start point. In David’s front yard I get a bearing east and a little south. But once I get back on the road it’s coming from the north, back over towards Big Bear.

I drive back over Bryant to 38 and up the hill to 7 oaks. It looks like it’s down there or across on that @$#%@ road that XFC hid his WWNIATT on.

After about 30 minutes of driving over bridges with heavy runoff going under, and through mud holes that look like they would swallow an 18 wheeler, I finely fond T3 at a hairpin turn on Front Line Rd, not far from where XFC hid.

K6SNE T1 is still farther west on Front Line or maybe even above. I decide to continue on. After about 1/4 mile I come upon another mud LAKE. After staring at it for a while and visualizing my Jimmy stuck in the middle till Mike shows up on Sunday, I decide to end the hunt and go home. After all if I were to find any more Ts I might win and end up having to hide in July.
