I found 4; t-5, RJN, t-2 and one of the T-6s.
T4 was
clearly IDing "5" at 35 WPM and T5 had no "T5" in
its CW,
just the call sign. I call it "RJN"
I noticed that Doug had a very carefully and well executed
plan that would bring you up the 33 to T-1 and the
rest of
the Ts would then
fall in order as the illuminated each others area.
Well, I
did it backwards ending up with T-1 (and one other
I never
had a clue where it was; a t-3 of different skin).
By the
time I figured out that T-1 was on Cuyama, it was
9:00pm and
I was too tired for the 4 hour drive. I was happy
tho...great hide, although too long when done backwards.
I wrote this Sunday after the hunt to Deryl in an email.
So
Doug's plan of routing was quite evident to me. I
missed the
5 counties theme though I did have a lot of maps spred
out.
Seems you should have gone home over the 14 through
Lancaster, if you had done the route right rather
than going
back to Gorman to get the 5.
Don is the mystery...how could he have gone to Santa
Barbara, come back on the 33 and go east into Lockwood
Valley without getting T1 (or T3 in retrospect). T1
was 40
dB strong at the 33/Lockwood junction.
Great hunt tho..
