There were 3 transmitters.
T1 was located beside the 90 Frwy just west of Centinela ave. under a bush, near Marina Del Ray.(L.A. thomas Guide page 672 E7)
T2 was at my brothers home just west of the town of Wasco in north west Kern County, about 140 miles north of T1. T2 was putting out about 120 watts to an 11 element beam.
T3 was 6.5 miles north of T2, where Leonard ave. crosses Poso Creek. It was running 2 watts into a 4 element beam.
It rained. It snowed. It hailed. The wind blew. My windshield wipers quit. My Jimmy's battery went dead. There was so much mud we couldn't hide where we wanted. 5 teams came out anyway.
