We made a biggg mistake! We tried to come up from
the north side of Rand Mountains. We found this gate
on the lower side which had a chain and lock, but the
lock was unlocked! We also saw only one set of off
road tire tracks, which looked a lot like RJN's Toyota
vehicle tire! So up we went, good T-Hunt road never
needed 4X4, but was sandy at times (sand wash). The
trail is about 6 miles long and takes about 20
minutes. Signal right in front all the way! Strongest
signal of T1 yet! Got to top, T1 was just off to left
and banging in! Closed gate, chained up, locked up!
Didn't have bolt cutters so no way to cross through.
30 plus miles to go back down and go all the way
around the mountain to find T1! First to find T1 at
15:00! Thanks Doug you snickered us good this time.
See map picture of trail gate and location of T1 .
