Since Bob N6ZHZ & Cathy KD6CYG could not come out to hunt, I asked Cathy to come along to hide.

The T was located 100’ south of the entrance of the dirt road leading to Chino Park, it was running 5W into a 5/8 wave vertical mounted to a signpost 15’ up. I had a second T nearby for those who wanted to have a fun sniff.

The stories from the hunters indicated it was an interesting hunt, the bounces from the San Gabriel Mountains were phenomenal. Even when you were in line of site of the T the signal was stronger from the bounces until you were within a few miles of it. WA6FAT and sons were up on Glendora Ridge Road around 10pm and opted to stop hunting when they found out that the T was off Hwy 71 and the official teams had checked in and left.

We had a newcomer AC6TC / Phillip show up around 9:30. He is interested in joining our hunts and he will be coming out on the Saturday hunts in the near future. He just happened to listen on 146.565 that night and hunted the T with an HT from his home about 3 miles away.

For the people who did show up, you did get to see my new T-Hunt truck, thank you all for coming out.
