Due to a technicality (Steve & Tina's anniversary) Steve did not hide the first Saturday hunt on 5 May 2001, but N6ZHZ & KD6CYG agreed to hide for him. Now, somewhere between the sign-in sheets and the start mileage, the sign-in sheets got sucked into Cathy's infamous black hole that resides in her home office. Hence the delay in getting the results out!
The hiders were right on the north-eastern boundary, a half-mile or so south of the 30, and the Froggy T was right on the cement overpass of the 15 freeway, 6 inches in bounds. Appropriately, Bob ended up hiding on Miller Street, and the main T was 1 watt through a 4 element beam pointed at Baldy, producing an excellent Baldy Bounce and causing DLQ & PYE and everybody else to swear and complain that the hunt was out of bounds, but it was clearly and completely in bounds!. Such comments were received as: Good Bounce, Bad Signal, Good Hunt.
Thanks for coming out! KD6CYG, N6ZHZ & Friends.
